Thunderbird, Bear and Bear Cub carved from an old-growth red cedar log by Coast Salish artist Gerry Sheena. Thunderbird (Top) is a mythical creature and a high-ranking prestige crest. Bear (bottom) is known as the protector of the animal kingdom.
Stands ten feet high by two feet wide and two and a half feet deep.(305 x 60 x 75 cm) This massive totem was carved from a single red cedar log estimated to be six hundred years old. It was carved on site at Hill's Native Art in the Fall 2017.
