For those of us lucky individuals that call the Pacific northwest our home, we know rain: we know showers, we know liquid sunshine, we know light rain and we know torrential downpours. We know the joy that it can bring to gardeners not having to worry about water restrictions and we know the misery that it can bring to people looking at countless days of grey skies. We rejoice in our temperate climate and brag to our eastern friends the beauty that this territory beholds. The cruel joke is that it's the rain that keeps them all from moving here. We like it that way because we know that rain isn’t so bad....
