by Gene Brabant

Crooked Beak is one of the most dramatic of the Cannibal Bird masks from the Hamatsa, a secret society of high-ranking nobles in the Kwakwaka’wakw Nation. This mask was carved from red cedar and detailed with acrylic paint, cedar bark, feathers and felted cotton by Cree artist Gene Brabant. It features an articulated beak, a fully-worked cedar bark skirt, and an adjustable stand.
Dimensions: 38 inches long by 11 wide and 12 high. It's 55 inches high on the stand (depending on how you position it).
